Joe's Pizza: Crusty but lovable

New York promised us lots and lots of imports, and this weekend they delivered an outpost of Joe's Pizza one block from Santa Monica's beach; the NYC branches have been turning out reputable pies since 1975, and owner Joe Vitale is committed to spreading the gospel to the heathens of the West Coast, proffering admirably crusty slices of pizza both New York–style and Sicilian (rectangular).
