Father's Day Feasting

Father's Day is almost here – it lands on June 21 – so where to take the old man? Here are a handful of options that should put a grin on his face.

Aquavit: This Scandinavian classic is offering a Father's Day brunch ($60 per person) as well as a four-course dinner ($65 per person) featuring tuna tartar, braised short ribs, a grilled New York strip or king salmon, and dessert (brunch from 11:45 AM–2:45 PM, dinner from 5:30–10:30 PM; 212-307-7311; reserve online).

Bar Blanc Bistro: This Village New American will add a special dish to the regular menu, rib-eye steak with fried duck egg and lobster potato hash ($25). In addition, all dads get a free cocktail of their choice with purchase of any menu item (brunch from 11:30 AM–3:30 PM; 212-255-2330; reserve online).

Havana Central: Why not go Cuban for the holiday? The "Way to Dad's Heart" package at the Times Square outpost of this mini-chain includes a four-course dinner (think guava-glazed pork ribs and a mixed grill parrillada), bottomless beer, a hand-rolled cigar and a family portrait ($39 per person; 212-398-7440; reserve online).

Marfa: At this East Village Southwestern newcomer, pops can indulge in some Texas 'cue with a special three-course menu including options like barbecue shrimp, filet mignon and more ($31.99 per person; 212-673-8908).

The Oak Room: The Plaza's New American is offering a massive brunch prix fixe that includes an unlimited raw bar, a choice of entree, a dessert table and a choice of Bloody Mary or mimosa ($55 for adults, $35 for children; 212-758-7777; reserve online).

Payard Pâtisserie & Bistro: François Payard's UES spot is offering a three-course lunch that kicks off with a burger and finishes with chocolate sticky-toffee pudding and bourbon, all for $29 per person. And if he's still hungry, there are tons of treats at the pâtisserie – including a "Father's Day Shirt Cake" (212-717-5252; reserve online).

Peanut Butter & Co.: If you buy sandwiches for the family on June 21, dad's is on the house (212-677-3995).

Rouge Tomate: This UES New American is celebrating with a select half-off wine list available on June 20 – the restaurant is closed on Sundays (646-237-8977).

SushiSamba: Both outposts of this Brazilian sushi joint are offering a $25 brunch menu from 11 AM–4 PM that features everything from fried oysters to cast-iron baked eggs. A $15 beer pairing is also available, and all dads go home with a $10 gift card (212-691-7885 [West Village], 212-475-9377 [Flatiron]).

Wildwood Barbeque: Grill-loving dads can celebrate early on June 20, when this Flatiron 'cue joint hosts a surf 'n' turf cooking class followed by lunch with beer pairings (11:30 AM–2:30 PM; $65 per person, or $100 for two; 212-331-0328).
