The city’s restaurant scene seems to have shaken the summertime blues with a slew of new spots this week, starting with Trattoria Cinque (363 Greenwich St., 212-965-0555), which opens its doors today. The TriBeCan Italian celebrates the power of five (and its multiples) with 250 seats, a 20-bottle wine list (with five whites, reds, rosés and reserves), and a menu of classics, which will change five times a year and feature items like lasagna bolognese. Also officially opening tomorrow, Russian-based restaurateurs The Ginza Project bring their first eatery to the U.S. with Mari Vanna (41 E. 20th St, 212-777-1955). The menu is made up of all the usual suspects like borscht, beef stroganoff and chicken Kiev, and of course, the bar includes 25 house-infused vodkas. Additionally, Michael “Bao” Huynh’s Asian beer–driven concept, Bia Garden (154 Orchard St., 212-780-0010), debuts on the Lower East Side by the week’s end.
