Locavores can cap a scenic drive to the Virginia Hunt Country with an edible exploration of its local bounty during this year’s “Celebrate the Harvest Week,” running today through October 4. Dining spots in Middleburg, Upperville and the Plains – including The French Hound, Goodstone Inn, Hunter’s Head Tavern and the Rail Stop – are adding special dishes to their menus that showcase local produce, meat, cheese and wine. On offer at The French Hound: Ayrshire Farm merguez with a spicy aioli, tomato salad pairing Vineyard Nursery produce with its own housemade mozzarella, and Sangiovese from Three Fox Vineyards.
