Bitter Craigie

Bitter is better at the bar, according to Craigie on Main’s beverage manager Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli. On July 20, Tom leads the latest installment of the Central Square restaurant's "Do Try This at Home" series with a lesson on how to mix, match and use bitters to make better beverages. The interactive class includes a quick history of the flavoring, plus drink recipes, mixing tips and instructions on how to make your own bitters at home. For a sample of Schlesinger-Guidelli's teaching style, check out the above video, in which he demonstrates how to make a seasonal punch (7–9 PM; $45 per person; 617-497-5511).
