Sustainability takes a stylish turn with Broadway East, a well-priced Eclectic arrival on Chinatown’s eastern edge boasting chic but inviting digs with red booths, pendant lights and a plant-sprouting wall; the seasonal, mostly vegetarian dishes from chef Lee Gross (ex LA’s M Café de Chaya) range from grilled pizzas to an Indian Thali plate and a macrobiotic selection of the day, and the green/locavore ethos extends to its local beers and wines and the bar menu’s farmstead and housemade cheeses.
