Toronto’s star chef Susur Lee will likely be steering the kitchen at the Downtown Donovan House‘s Asian fusion dining room (1155 14th St. NW) when it begins serving its full menu sometime next month. This chic venue, currently called Cha, has been serving drinks and sushi since mid-January and was slated to showcase Todd English’s talents, but last week the plan changed, and it looks like chef Lee, who runs the restaurant Shang in a sister NYC hotel, will take charge. Whether the name will change is unclear, but we hear that the restaurant will begin debuting a few of Lee’s full-flavored dishes as early as this week. Look for rooftop sushi in the summer.
