Last month the Buzz chatted with Mark Weiss of the Whisk Group about British gastropub Againn, and today we have more details about what to expect when it opens early next week in sleek, big-windowed Downtown digs. The moderately priced menu will feature creative twists on English classics such as shepherd’s pie in individual casseroles, a jarred "pint of prawns" from the raw bar and Stilton scooped tableside from a rolling cart, accompanied by extensive beer, wine and single-malt scotch selections. Its setting mixes industrial (exposed ceilings, striking light fixtures) and classic (rich dark paneling, white-and-black tile floor, a zinc-topped bar) design, and there are two elegant, leather-paneled private dining rooms (1099 New York Ave., NW; 202-639-9830).
