Could anyone tell me about their dining experiences at Osteria? Food good, bad, wine selections, etc. I need to make dinner reservation for 16 and someone suggested Osteria.

From my experience of twice dining there, if you appreciate authentic, well prepared Italian food (I would call it Tuscan style) then this place is first class. Excellent choices and wine list. Atmosphere is very simple warehouse like. Just beware that it is not inexpensive.

Try to sit inside if you can. Sitting outside in the enclosed room is loud. Food is certainly different. Restaurant is appealing. I'd suggest somewhere else though. I'd try Distrito (university city). It has great Mexican food. Wonderful ambience. Good for a large party.

The food is good but waaaay overpriced 16 people your bill will be way over 3 grand not sure if that's what you were thinking. I actually had dinner @ Girasole last night great food not as pricey as osteria but as authentic as they come right off the boat from italy. mom cooks it up in the kitchen and craig laban just gave them a great review 2 weeks ago he loved it call them and see what they can do for you here goes the number I still have it stored from reserving last night 215 732 2728 located in the symphony house right off of broad you'll love it. hope this helps good luck
