• NinaW1268 replied on Oct. 30, 2009 at 9:51 AM Cafe Con Leche on Amsterdam at 81st has good Cuban/Dominican food (best if you're a meat eater) and a fabulous garlic sauce condiment. Breakfasts are great and the signature cafe con leche is wonderful. It's lowkey and to say the service is relaxed is an understatement, but the place is small and you can catch your server's eye without trouble. Big Nick's Burger Joint is an institution, and the restaurant upstairs at Fairway is pretty good.

• LaurenceR88058 replied on Nov. 4, 2009 at 6:10 PM Cafe Luxembourg has outstanding burgers. I would also try Shake Shack. Go to Gari for sushi and 'Cesca for Italian. Try Dovetail for elegant. I am also a fan of Vai and Fatty Crab.
