No reservation? Anyone can get into the library which has a limited, yet sufficient, cocktail menu. Just be prepared to wait (up to 30 minutes) in line if you go on a weekend night. The low-lighting and giant wall of old-timey books (yes, they're real) creates a nice, low-key ambiance. Also nice to have a place without the loud, thumping music that permeates most trendy SF bars. Did I mention the excellent cocktails prepared with the utmost care?

Very cool, very fun, absolutely unique atmosphere. If you enjoy high quality cocktails, B&B is your destination.

Service can be slow but everyone in San Francisco should check it out at least once. The drinks are innovative and their selection of unusual liquor is second to none. Gimmicky at times but the drinks make it worth it. It can get crowded on the weekends so I would recommend going late (closer to midnight)

In a transitional neighborhood, this speakeasy requires a password to get in. The entree is a little gimmicky but the drinks are delightful and innovative and the atmosphere is enjoyable.
