If you're mature, definitely go on Friday night; the college crowd invades on Saturday night. Great atmosphere. The Latin room upstairs is great and the club is set up very nicely. Drinks were good too.

Excellent import and microbrew drafts (Otter Creek, some belgians). Good for off-hours drinks mid-week. As a working stiff who likes fine beer, this is a good place to stop on the way home.

Axis has a great beer list and their food menu is rather diverse. They seem to be all over the place with their entree choices and the food is not really anything spectacular. However, they do offer a very reasonable brunch -- the price is right on and the amount of food is just right. When I visited, some of the staff was still new, so some growing pains were inevitable. Axis is just what the neighborhood needed. Axis has a great wine list and an amazing selection of beers on tap - including my all-time favorite beer...Dog Fish Head. I'm a little partial to Axis Bar and Grill because of their bar menu. Off the top of my head, I can remember trying the 5 oz filet with fries, calamari, wings, and lobster bisque. Most of the items cost around $5-7. The weekend bartender is a chill guy...super outgoing. I think
