A great watering hole tainted by obnoxious staff way too eager to turf out paying customers once it hits closing time. I've been to Seven Grand on multiple occasions and spent a fair bit of money there. Its a fun place with a good vibe. However, on more than one occasion, the staff changes demeanor dramatically from service with a smile as you order up your tab to "get the [expletive] out" once they decide to close. Its rude and unnecessary.
A night here drinking whiskey and scotch while watching the lakers on the big screen was great!
Another hidden gem, within the diamond in the rough called Downtown L.A. The upstairs isn't too roomy, but the bartenders know what they're doing in making you a cocktail, as long as it includes whiskey, you're in luck. The lounge has an urban, classic, throw-back vibe that makes for a fun night out for cocktails in the truest sense.
