Great beer selection. No frills good service from old men. Kind of college/fratty, but friendly and unassumming. Little booths are a nice touch.
An old school pub with all the character--good and bad--that that implies.
Very OLD IRISH(period)
Best Dive Bar in Manhattan, Jukebox is great, beer prices are awesome and Mike the owner is great. Everyone does know your name.
The Dublin House is hands down one of my favorite bars in NYC. It's truly one of the last real neighborhood bars, and even though I'm not a regular, Mike the bartender remembers me every time I sit at the bar, which seems transplanted out of Ireland. The backroom is usually very quiet, a great place to share a quiet conversation and a pint. Great, Great bar. Seems to never close, either.
