FUNKY Funk.. Really strange but down-home old fashioned neighborhood joint. Great old blues. Couldn't believe THE Deacon Jones was there (not the football player! The BLUES legend!

Really fun, with great music. Monday night - Jam Night - is the best night to go. Don't forget your cash. And be weary of the neighborhood.

Go for Jam Night on Monday to hear Mickey Champion belt out the blues. Warning: you may only make one trip to the soul food buffet. If you try for seconds be prepared to face Mama's wrath.

This is hands-down, my favorite LA experience. The Monday night, soul-food buffet and Mickey Champion show is simply not to be missed. Few things are as worthwhile.
