This is good place to hang out with friends but not as good as thalassa in Berkeley.They do have wonderful beer though.

I love this place. I love the two story classy Irish bar feel. Good smoking area, good drinks, alright food, live bands sometimes, hard to get service.

This is basically my favorite Berkeley bar. The Irish pub is quirky and a perfect place that's not too loud on a Thursday night.

I suppose I like this place because the French Martinis are amazing and I know all the bar staff

Beckett's is generally overrun by college students. If that's your bag, then go for it. Otherwise, they have occasionally good live music.
