In a gorgeous chic hotel. Very welcoming staff and interesting international clientele. The blood orange martini is one of the best cocktails in the city. I love getting dressed and heading here for the scene.
my favorite room in SF. haven't been in awhile, but i still love it.
Swanky lounge near Union Square. A great place to get dressed up and go pretend to be fancy in a hip environment. Very New York. My only complaint is that it tends to get pretty packed on the weekend nights, leaving bar patrons to spill out into the lobby of the Clift. Also, I'm not going to lie-- a few cocktails here and renting a room for the night almost becomes a necessity.
Nice place, but full of questionable businessmen, suspiciously without wedding rings, on the prowl. Decent place to chill for low-key happy hour. Avoid the meat market and snippy DJ during partying hours.
This swanky nightspot is still a place to see and be seen (and the artwork on the walls sometimes also seems to be checking you out!)
