In an alley just off Columbus, this is where the North Beach cognoscenti drink beer and the hard stuff. The atmosphere would make a Gold Rusher nod.

Best bar in the bay. Perfect atmosphere. Interesting clientele. Decent prices. Very friendly and attentive staff.

not as well known as Vesuvios across the street but one of the last Beat Generation hangouts in the Bay Area
