The Monte' Leon is a beautiful building, the Carousel is unique, and John Autin is nothing short of amazing. Make a request, he can not only most likely play it, but play it well! And if you want to get a laugh out of him, ask him to play a 2& 1/2 Brains tune for you.

You can't do any better than to stay at the Monteleone when in New Orleans, and after a busy day, it is refreshing to spend some time in the Carousel and enjoy a great drink & light fare while being entertained by the talented John Autin. Actually, the Carousel stands out as the highlight of our stay in New Orleans. Elegant, classy, affordable, we're definitely looking forward to our next visit!

It amazes me how lovely and diverse the crowd is when I go to The Carousel. Families, college kids, old folks - everyone sitting around and enjoying John Autin's music and the ambience at The Carousel Bar. You can sit back and enjoy his choices, or you can make endless requests. He is always good natured about it all. Highly recommended for locals and tourists alike!

When guests are in town for conferences, it's so nice to give them a driving tour the first night that includes spots they can return to on short breaks in their schedules & when on their own. The Moteleone's Carousel Bar is ALWAYS on that list. I can safely tell everyone from hipsters in town for a music conference to aunties in for a League of Women Voters convention about the bar. They will all enjoy it. Pianist John Autin is a sure winner.
