Quite simply the most elegant bar in Boston, only slightly ruined by the (albeit unobtrusive) televisions behind the bar itself. Service was superb. However, this hotel watering hole is not for the hipsters. Most of the crowd appeared either corporate, or families and older couples.
If you want old boston, dark wood, leather... in the good old days, the aroma of cigars, then you'll love the oak room. Comfortable room, upscale casual, good for groups. No flash, no 'scene'

A nice place to start the evening, especially if on a business dinner. Great people watching on a Friday night.
Lovely ambience; very expensive drinks; food only fair.
