Dryest beach of Hawaiian islands and produce the clearest sunsets. This isn't your white sand beach, though. If you are looking for a more remote part further away from the resort area, bring shoes to walk over the black lava rocks.

Beach is not the prettiest. Some people say they really like it, but it is one of my least favorites on the island. We did take a nice dinner cruise out of this beach though.

Peaceful bay for swimming. Rumour has it that it is haunted but you could not tell by the locals gathering here on moonlite nights.

Lots of shade and lots of lounge chairs (at the hotel end - they don't check). What could be better? The water - with gentle surf and plenty of places to snorkel

It's not the soft white sand you would expect from a Hawaiian beach. But, if you want a free show from the Humpbacks whales between December and March, you have come to the right spot! There are also a couple of turtles that hang around and will submit to having their photos taken (just don't get to close or touch them).
