Very disappointed to find out that you must make reservations to go inside. I purchased my tickets on line and no mention of that was given. I went with friends from out of town and was only able to see the grounds. They should inform everyone of this because I wasn't the only person highly diappointed.

Don't bother with the tour, just take the Staten Island Ferry and you will get a great view without the lines!
