My favorite Italian place - the food is excellent (the bread, in particular, is phenomenal...I'd also recommend the veal canelloni, when it's on special), the decor authentic, and the service wonderful and personal. A family-owned and run restaurant tucked into a back road in the city of Rockville, next to a veterinarian, I was hesitant to try it at first. Now I introduce everyone I can to it. Really fantastic.

This is the place to go if you want great food, friendly service and some privacy. Depending on the night you might run into some celebrities popping in for a evening of quiet conversation over a delicious meal {but you didn't hear it from me ; -) } Things you must try at Amalfi's include the white pizza with cheese (I know you've heard that before, but you really MUST try it), and the tortellini in this devine mushroom cream sauce. Enjoy!

This old favorite has entered a slow decline. Sauces are not consistent, bread is not as flavorful. New generation of management claims nothing has changed, but our taste buds disagree.

Amalfi is a true gem hidden away in an obscure part of Rockville. The white pizza is the best you will ever find, and the fried zuccini is also top-drawer. Friendly, courteous, fast service, too. It's truly worth repeat visits!
