Run, dont walk to this wonderful restaurant!!!. I was searching for a 5 star restaurant in Santa Cruz, which was very difficult, and found it here. Now walking in I was put off by the smallness and the setting (3 to 4 small dining tables surrounded by lounge tables and couches) and wasn't expecting. blown away! The strip steak was cooked to perfection with a wonderful hint of sweetness. the asparagus was grilled and the best Ive ever had. YUM

I am a huge fan of the 515. I have been there for their signature cocktails many times, I've tried their appetizers on a few occasions, attended parties there, and had dinner once. I've always been impressed. The food is some of, if not, the best for its price in Santa Cruz. The drinks are awesome-- they even make their whiskey sours with fresh egg whites! The ambiance is very tasteful and classy. All in all, it is my favorite spot in Santa Cruz!

On a rather cold and windy night,we walked into 515 and enjoyed one of the best meals we've had in this area. The decor is "shabby chic", the ambiance is intimate, the service great, the food excellent, and the "spirits" out of the ordinary. (I ordered a Sauzerac and it was the best one I've had outside of New Oreleans.) I can't wait to go back and see whether our experience was a fluke or if this place is a real hidden "gem".
