There seems to be a disconnect between the rave reviews here and the rating numbers. By now Dino should be a 24 or 25. My wife and I have visited Dino many times and each time we have had a rewarding experience. The dishes we ate ranged from very good to excellent, with unusual seasonal dishes (e.g., puntarella with anchovey dressing) and wonderful homemade pastas. Don't miss the zuppa di pesce.

Hmmm. We've been here several times now and last night had a semi-disaster. Soups very good, desserts great. In a sausage and clam pasta w/ tomatoes there were no tomatoes but plenty of sand and shell pieces. In the Collo D'Anatra, no clue what part of the duck was stuffed into the skin "purse" but w/o the fat removed from the skin it was rubbery not crisp as described. Eeew. Staff tried to respond to our concerns. Excellent wine selection.

I ate here twice during a recent trip to DC in Dec 2008. The first time was a Tuesday where it was free corkage night (the other night being Thursday) and then went again the following night. From Sun-Thurs, Dino offers a 3-course dinner for $35 which we took full advantage of. They had a to-die-for fresh mozzarella with roasted peppers, tomatoes, and black olive tapenade, wild boar with pappardelle, and wild mushroom risotto.

Over-rated, over priced. Get Italian across the street.

Fresh, authentic Italian in a comfy neiborhood setting. Very exciting wine list if you like italian wines
