Great food if your in the mood for something different. Elk, boar, and sand dabs are things you'll find on their menu. You can even have the chef make you minature 7 course meal off the top of his head! The atmosphere is modern elegant woodsy. Limited drink selection. Only complaint...HORRIBLE SERVICE. I have been there three times now and every time it takes a couple hours to eat because they are so slow to serve you and rarely check up on you.

This is one of the best restaurants in Claremont. However, it's one of those places where the preparations, ingredients, and sauces can be so complicated that you can't really imagine what the food will or should taste like. The ingredients are special. I've talked to the chef while he shops Claremont's farmers' market on Sunday mornings.

What an experience. Hands down the best steak I've ever had, called the tomahawk chop. Our group did a chef's tasting. Each dish we had was better than the previous one. Oysters, Scallops, wood fired flat bread pizza, and abalone. All the flavors came together perfectly. The restaurant is beautiful inside with a huge patio. Great location and it was worth the drive (45 miles for me). I highly recommend and will be back.

Pricey and pretentious, though some of the food was very, very good. The "smothered buffalo" (once I got done snickering at the name) was a revelation. The trout was outstanding. However, the "olive oil sorbet" on the salad was bizarre, and the succotash was way too salty. The service was uneven, too. The hostess kept us standing around because she couldn't find our reservation. And when I asked them to hold the pancetta that came with the le
