This is the worst tapas restaurant I ever been. I started with the Manchego, Serrano Ham, and Chorizo. They gave us a cheese that tasted like mozzarella (or the cheapest manchego cheese), prosciutto and just regular sausage. Horrible!!!The papas bravas tasted like regular Taco Bell nachos with cheese, the albondigas tasted like school cafeteria meatballs. The gambas alajillo tasted like were just fished. Chef has never been in Spain at all.
The ambience of Arpa is very jet set. The tapas were ok, not out of this world and the portions were on the small side. When it gets busy, the plates take a while to come out. Best thing about the place, the chesses and wine...good place for pre-dinner drinks and apps, not so good if you want to go for a full meal (it gets pricey)
Very expensive tapas with very small portions. I recommend the meat and cheese combos. Very good sangria, both red and white! Don't expect to leave feeling full!
The food is terrific, the wine flights are great fun, but the place is always empty.
You get what you expect, a number of tasty treats.
