A nice good Italian place with reasonable prices for all plates. The house smoked fish plate is excellent, and the lamb shank full and meaty and pastas also hit the spot. The whole wheat bread sticks warm and homey. Wines inexpensive but many mis-classified on the list (wrong country, etc.). Decor is very simple and cafeteria-like. But the place is fun and the service good too.

Here's a good, noisy, neighborhood place with an innovative idea: a whole dinner made of antipasti. They call them Italian tapas, but I always though Spanish tapas were their version of antipasti. You should arrive early if you want to be sure to be seated, and try to stop after three or four dishes or you'll run up quite a bill, even though the prices are reasonable.

I eat here all the time. This is a tapas-style Italian-influenced menu. Food is great. There is not better deal in town for the quality and preparation. Plates are around $6-7. In the heart of North Park on 30th Street it's a fun locale with some very limited outdoor seating. It can get so noisy inside but it's festive. Very cool spot. I dine here with all my guests and they love it. Never had better carrots anywhere. I always get 2 carrot plates

Very good food! The lamb shank was great as was the pasta with gorgonzola/walnut sauce. Seems to be a local's favorite. However, it is very loud, as the acoustics are awful. No reservations accepted.
