At a recent dinner, all 4 of us were raving about the food, from the bread to the fabulous desserts (worth the calories!). The fish dishes were fresh and perfectly prepared, and the pork chop with mango glaze was amazing! Fine, unobtrusive service. Prices are reasonable considering the overall very high quality....you won't be disappointed.
What a setting!!! Request a river walk view table, just awesome. Have eaten at Citrus several times for brunch. Typical brunch fare (pancakes, eggs, bagel/Lox, assortment of cereals for the kiddos), but the atmosphere more than made up for that. French press coffee was very good. Complimentary valet parking was nice. Looking forward to eating dinner here, browsed the menu and it looks good. Nice place to take visitors to take in the scenery
Very lovely food that almost rises to greatness. The appetizers seem to be the best part of the meal. The crab cake is huge and excellent as are the Oyster Fritters on the half shell. Fish preparation was good but the shrimp on the dish were significantly overcooked. Dessert was satisfactory but not memorable. We really liked the decor. We will go back but may stick to the appetizers.
Mediocrity, compounded with lackadaisical service and overpriced, common food. We had dinner which was rushed and pedantic, plus five breakfasts which generally took forever for a cheese omelette. Nothing spectacular here, and nothing that would make me return to San Antonio.
My favorite restaurant in San Antonio! Located in the posh Hotel Valencia it has a wonderful atmosphere and the service is wonderful. The Oyster Fritters and Crab Cakes are excellent starters!
