I've been to Eastside Cafe on a number of occasions and always enjoy the food. Fresh ingredients and a menu that will satisfy a wide number of tastes. Wine list is also very good with reasonable pricing.

wonderful neighborhood farmhouse with fresh organic food and an oasis on the near east side -- the LBJ School's home cafeteria

On premises they grow vegetables and spices used for the meals. Expect to wait for seating during prime time.

About the time everyone discovered this place, so did all of the bad waitstaff in Austin. They now "work" here.

Simple, fresh, delicious food straight from the garden. The only place in Austin where you'll find panko breaded Mahi-mahi fish sticks and macs and cheese on the blue plate special. Lots of choices for vegetarians and veggie lovers.
