I like the one in St. Germain also. I think the Baguettes are very good with a good balance of crisp to chewy and flavorful. The pastries look wonderful, but I didn't try them.

Good bread and pastries these bakeries are between the best in Paris no doubt, but there is so many great independent small bakery in Paris !!!
A great choice of bread, some can be surprising but worst to try.
The sad part quality is change a lot depending where you go, for the best go to the original place in St germain avoid the sisters places. The sandwiches are in line with what you find in europe in the street: bread 90% !

An unbelievable sampling of breads (even for France) - a little pricier than some bouangeries (but cheaper than the overpriced Le Ntre), but worth it.

The boulangerie in our neighborhood was more of a bakery with tables to sit and snack, but the food was great. I went here each morning to pick up fresh pastries for my family. If there is one near you, get up early and go for breakfast.

Everyone has their preference, I'll take Kayser over Poulaine any day.
