Weekend lunch was not spectacular, but was reasonable. Challa Masala was unusually, but pleasantly, spiced, and was probably the best dish on our table. The menu was not particularly original, but all the traditional Indian entrees were represented. It's on the East side of NH Ave; Google maps shows the White Oak Shopping Center on the other side of the street. Bombay is pretty far into the shopping center; don't give up too soon.
A typical shopping-center-style Indian restaurant. The service was casual, but the food was too salty.
An array of dishes, each with a very different flavor were presented to us at a Saturday evening meal. (Food was much better than what was tasted at a weekend lunchtime buffet.) Each dish was delicious. We were all very impressed. We think it was better over all quality of food, than either Heritage India or Woodlands, which have been our favorites until now!
This place has about the worst so called India food I have ever had. Not too many Indians in the place and now I know why. Zagat has given this a great rating and they have no business doing so. When the buffet table has a vegetable curry that is trunips and another filled with big chunks of carrots ..... THAT isn't considered good Indian food.Especially for a Sunday buffet. What happened to the spinach-paneer, or vegetable kurma?
Aromas of curry excite your senses and foretell of the freshly prepared and well-seasoned food to come. Succulent tandoor chicken accompanied with raita and garlic naan are my favs.
