I moved from New York to Long Island in late 2008. 18 Bay has the best food I have eaten on Long Island. Every item is thoughfully prepared and unusual. The decor is pleasant and cozy, though not impressive. The staff is friendly and aims to please, although not the most professional and attentive. The wine list is small, but very well chosen. If one knows one's wine, the careful selection makes one smile. I plan to return many times.

a true gem.excellent and inventive cuisine with terrific wines. only six tables so gauge your time accordingly
