FABULOUS! Great assortment of tapas-sized plates. Beautiful preparation, EXCELLENT waitstaff - very knowledgable, funny, just the right speed of service. Don't be turned off in case you don't like Spanish food - it's far from just pots of paella! Great ambiance,,,,not too noisy, even when packed. Perfect place!
Lots of interesting dishes - tasting menu is a good way to make decisions and try many combinations you wouldn't ordinarily try. Decor and crowd very hip - can't say the Euro-slick look is my fav. But my taste buds were very happy. good selection of wine - next time will order by the glass so can do more matching as the dishes change.
This was the fourth time for us to visit Amada. Every time, the food was outstanding and so was the service. You have to book in advance to get in, but it is worth the trip.
An excellent all around dining experience. The food is expertly prepared, the staff is personable and friendly, and the decor is made particularly interesting by the creation of about four distinctly different dining areas if one includes bar type seating. The food has creative flourishes, such as the clams and chorizo served in a broth which was particularly tasty. I particularly liked the non-mainstream beer and ale offered.
Yes the food is amazing (sometimes), but hey at these prices it shouldn't be spotty. Personally I think Tinto is a much better choice and a little less expansive of a space. There are far better restaurants in Philadelphia for an out of town visit and you are expecting a super meal. Buddakan or The Fountain are two such examples. This spot is sometimes great, sometimes not so good. If you want Tapas try Tinto, same owner which equals go figure???
