After hearing lots of good things about Aldaco's my wife and I finally got there. Our reaction was mixed. Very good salsa -needed bit more salt-and good, almost great chips. The chicken with two sauces -cilantro and chipotle- was almost wonderful - the chicken appeared to have been cooked and held (but was still juicy but overcooked) and the sauce too salty. The mixed Mexican plate was very good. Net comment - good to very good and close to great

Fresh, innovative Mexican food. Some of the best tortillia's and salsa in San Antonio.

Food excellent. Good seating, nice view of the courtyard. Service a bit off, but short handed this night unfortunately...the poor waiter tried his best, but apparently someone didn't show. Table was in an adjoining room so the noise was subdued which was nice. The restaurant is nothing fancy, but comfortable.
