Simply the best! The hostesses were all extremely nice and welcoming when we entered. They quickly offered to check our coats and made us feel at home. The quite tall and beautiful host that showed us to our table was very nice and even brought over some black napkins and flashlights for us to read the menus since the lighting is a bit dim The rest of the staff was also amazing, along with the great decor and food. Check this place out!
The hostess was as frigid as the weather outside. The other staff were outstanding. The food was excellent. The special sweetbreads appetizer was good, not great. The pork (medium rare) was really outstanding. The dessert (sopra il cielo) was outstanding. I also enjoyed sampling zuppa (foie gras cappelletti), maccheroncelli (w/ Kobe beef meatballs), and the fetuccini w/ wild mushrooms & black truffle butter. Great 1/2-bottle wine list.
The food was good but at that price I expected something better. Coupled with the overall attitude it wasn't a very enjoyable dining experience.
A very nice room, and some very nice food, but all just a little to sleek for me. A little less menu, a little more character.
The jewel of the Columbus group. Sorellina is billed as the kid-sister of Mistral but steals the limelight from her brasher sibling. The room is visually stunning and comfortably seats over 120 while still being quiet and calm. Polpo is a beautifully subtle app, Maccheroncelli is a dead cert for my "death-row" meal. Mid-week clientele can be a bit corporate but it's a great place for people wathcing. Nice bar area too.
