Out of the many Ethiopian restaraunts I've tried in the East Bay, Finfine is #1. The vegetarian sampler platter is outstanding and their Injera compliments the slight spiciness of the food. The Buticha (ground & blended chick peas) is the richest I've yet to have. If you drink alcohol, the Hakim Stout is a must-have. It's one of the best stouts I've had to date. Set back in a cute court, this could be a romantic dinner or a casual meal.

From my travels to Ethiopia, this is the real thing, yet there are some new twists that make it more appealing such the Sushi Kitfo dishes. Can't wait to eat there again !!

If you've never had Ethiopian food, this is the place to try it. The restaurant is a tiny place in Berkeley. The service is great and the food is even better. Its best to come with a group as there is the opportunity to try a lot of different dishes. I went with a group of 4. Dinner was brought out on one platter where all 4 of us could try the different kinds of food. Very communal. And, tasty while being reasonably priced.

Finfine is a cozy and delightful eatery with some of the best Ethiopian dishes in the bay area. The "Gored-Gored" has the hot and spicy bite as well as the right tenderness that makes you ask for more. It’s vegetarian dishes [Ye-Ater Kik Alitcha (Split Pea Stew), Ye-Missir Azeefa (Lentil Salad), Ye-Missir Wät (Spicy Split Red Lentil Stew), Gommen (Collard Greens), Ye-Dinnichena Carrot Alitcha (Potato/Carrot) & Buticha (Chick Peas)] seem to be fav
