Ran the gauntlet with coconut soup, translucent veggie wraps in peanut sauce, special curry and the halibut special followed by their molton cake under a nice house cardamom ice cream. Interestingly, there is a fair amount of non-Thai options on the menu-something I would normally take as a warning sign. We enjoyed our meals, but must agree with reviewer below that something was missing. Our dishes were good, not great. Ratings on pt or high.
Best Thai in town? It will take more than one visit to know for sure, but I'm thinking... no. Tasty enough, and some interesting and unusual dishes, but there's some undefinable missing element here. Traditional Thai is an exuberant clash of flavors and textures - arguably the most exciting cuisine in the world. This gussied-up version is undeniably pleasant, but without (for lack of a better term) soul .
