Asked for the open window table, told it was reserved but it never got filled. Menu disappointing: expensive, not very creative. Service weak - waitress took forever to show up, distracted, and when we asked about any specials said none tonight. She took order- then we heard a waiter describe special to the next table. Despite our then low expectations food was very good though salt heavy. In sum: Good for biz entertaining & tourists
Nice setting and good service. Food ok but not great. Better restaurants exist in the neighborhood. Would be nice to have more and better Italian red wines by the glass.
In Boston on business and just happened in while walking by. A colleague and I were more than pleasantly surprised at what we considered to be unusually good and very creative food. As others have said, we found the service to be quite attentive and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to return.
During Restaurant Week, we were seated 30 minutes late despite a reservation. It took three different people to get water for the table. The bread arrived 30 minutes after we were seated, and the wine we requested was out of stock. The sommelier gave us a slightly better wine at the same price but it couldn't compensate for the poor service. The food was good but the portions were small. We are not likely to return.
We enjoyed the a number of small plates and 1st course plates. The very high ceilings are interesting. It does not bring to mind sitting in a restaurant on the costa dorado, although the food does. An eclectic mix of moorish, French, greek and north african tastes all in one place. Haloumi with dates, nuts and a delicate overtone of ouzo is ammazing. The kobe meatballs taste fantastic, but I think it is kind of a waste to grind up kobe.
