Went for the first time on 8/8/9 with my wife, sister-in-law and brother-in-law. It was a big disappointment from the bar service, food quality and ridiculous price. The $90 2lb. lobster ordered was tasteless and like rubber which was taken off our bill. Hard to believe a 27 Zagat rated seafood rest. can't even steam a lobster for 90. Save your money and spend it on a good steak at the Homestead. Not sure I can use Zagat's based on this!
Was there on Aug. 1, 2009 with my wife and another couple. Simply dissapointing! Bad service, teenage looking waitress was actually gossiping on our behalf right behind our table with a manager! 2 1/2 hours for 4 appetizers and 4 entries, with a place half empty! "Rare" tuna was dry and tasted like sneakers, all clams and mussels (appetizers) had sand in them, seabass was below average, steak was so-so. And... everything is hugely overpiced!
Spicy Smoked Tomato Soup was disappointing, not spicy nor smoked, but with a strong vinegar flavor. Dunganese Crab Spring Rolls and Miso -glazed Chilean Sea Bass were tasty. The soft shell special was uninspired, the two accompanying sauces one more boring than the next.Their signature Mojito was simply Mojito too much pineapple juice. Their white sangria was wonderful. The video screens of fish were ridiculous. Service was friendly.
Great seafood addition for AC and NJ. Pricey but worth every penny
Terrific tasting menu with artful presentation and mouth watering bundled cookbook by celebrity chef Michael Mina makes you forget for a bit that you're surrounded by thousands of clanking slot machines (albeit at one of AC's more upscale casinos).
