The service was so so bad from the hostess not having our reservation and being very "snooty" to the arrogant server we had all night I barely remember the food He looked like Brad Pitt so I guess he thought he had license to act pompous. I asked him about a wine which he said they had but then on the list they did not. He did not look at us when he spoke and was not attentive. When we got coffee he barked at us on how to use a french press.

Had dinner there on a Thursday evening. It was not crowded but service was poor and food was not as hot as I prefer. The server was not helpful in negotiating a change in the dinner offering. My wife is a diabetic and should not eat a large helping of french fries ... we asked for a small portion of the vegetable of the day instead and were told that that was not possible! I expect better treatment from restaurants I visit.

A small, uncrowded Daniel's (from NYC) next to a coal fired power plant with free parking! Had the five course tasting menu with wine pairings. Were very pleased with the creative courses and especially the wines. Well worth the drive from DC.

Our party chose the four course tasting menu. Everyone enjoyed their food, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. One of our guests had the steak which he stated was excellent, while another had the rabbit whch he thought was very good. The arugula salad, calamari, and mango tatin were delicious. However, the rockfish was disappointing; when asked to describe its taste, our waiter stated that it was similar to lobster which was not the case.

Great atmosphere. Great service (even the owner found the time on a busy Saturday night to ask if everything went well and to apologize for not having a earlier table available. The food was excellent and so was the dessert and wine.
