on a return visit, the staff was still friendly, and with improved English, but the food has slipped in quality but increased in price. Chicken soup that was once delish was now second rate, with the chicken comprised of the bits and pieces you'd normally through out. Disappointing.

I visited El Tio and I observed the waiter was taking orders from groups that arrived later. When I asked him why, he stated that the others were bothering him and wanted to be served. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and couldn't understand why a Zagat rated restaurant would ignore a couple for almost a half hour. There was a lack of professionalism, it seems that staff catered more to Latino groups. I will not return to this restaurant.

Did I eat at the same place as the other reviewers? The food was awful! They charge 3 bucks for a second helping of chips and salsa, and salsa tasted like it came out of a jar. The fajitas were bland and loaded up with flllers like califlour (no, I am not kidding). The drinks were expensive and weak, and the check for two was a hundred dollars (we did drink, but not overly). We will stick with the Little Mexican Cafe. Much better food!
