While the service probably reflects its newness, the food here did not shine for a small group sharing appetizers and entrees. Nothing was so original to demand a return visit, though to be fair, we sought only items that could be shared. Plating and presentation were of high quality. Update: I have lunched at Latitude 41 a few times and I will give them their due. High quality lunch with nice plating. (But I'm still not sold on dinner.)
Last night was the most unacceptable dining experience ever. It took more than 15 minutes for anyone to come to our table and over an hour to get our food after ordering it - and it wasn't good. $36 for 8oz of tough, dry beef tenderloin and an under-cooked onion with under-cooked potatoes? $28 for an Ohio duck breast that was gone in three bites? What a joke. 2 tables around us walked out mid-way through their meals. We should have joined them.
Creative food with great potential but not there yet. Seems overpriced for now (5/07).

I was very disappointed in this newly made over restaurant. It has gotten a lot of press since the Renaissance Hotel purchased. Personally, I preferred the previous restaurant. Portions are very small here, and I found the menu difficult to choose from, I couldn't find what I wanted.
