No problem getting a table and in the right area too - just lucky I guess. Great ambience good service except sommelier who needs to get more familiar with his wines. Food was really very good - lovely mushroom ravioli, and delicious braised short ribs. Well worth a visit.

The secret is you walk in around 4, tell them you want a table, they tell you what is left and you say yes. The back room is just lovely and the old style of the inside is just perfect. I could be catty about the maitre de but he did give me the table I wanted so how can I justify being aggravated he seated all the beautiful people first? The food was really worth the wait and the waiter was adorable. Special occasion? Do it!

Although there is perpetually no room at the inn, once past the paparazzi and the dressed to intimidate hostesses, the food and experience falls somewhere between the pleasant and the sublime. The food is pleasant bistro fare in a fabulous old world pub setting, while the crowd is sublime. A special note about the truffled mac and cheese - its great, but its $55. You read that right - $55.

Everything i & friends had was excellent at this place (mostly fish dishes with well done touches, oysters & other simple but good apps) buy my girlfriends chicken pot pie might have been the most intoxicating thing i've ever tasted! cool atmosphere but the snobbery of the wannabee playing host was a bit of a turn off.

Please Graydon, pick up your restaurant, put it on plane, and fly it to Los Angeles where it's mediocrity belongs. Finally got in here - for what? Does your food tast better, or even ok, because Bobby DeNiro and one of the Glyllenhalls is eating there too? SoCAl and so shallow.
