We started with garlic grits, I had the chicken and sausage gumbo. The chicken & sausage were yummy; the rest of the soup,was a tad bland & didn't seem worth $16. We also had fried calamari and fried okra, which were both fine, but nothing special. There was a decent wine list (overpriced, but whose isn't); we had a bottle of 2006 Bell Syrah that was reasonably tasty with dinner.

This little restaurant is unassuming from the outside, but just darling once you step inside! There's a wonderful outdoor patio in the back and a fun lounge upstairs (although the lounge can get stuffy on hot evenings). The wait staff is fun and outgoing and the neighborhood is, well, flamboyant! Definitely worth trying.
