A choppy execution of the steakhouse concept. Many elements are excellent; many elements do not make sense.

Super steaks served in a slick suburban setting. Fascinating wine selection stored in very impressive 2 story wine room overlooking the dining area. Excellent service highlighted by knowledgable somalier who makes excellent recommendations.

Rivals the best of its genre in Chicago proper or anywhere else. We enjoyed a rare treat when Gale Gand was passing through the dining room and, hearing my wife's delighted shriek, sat and chatted with us for a few minutes and then comped us on one of her signature desserts.

Although the ambience is very warm and inviting (love the waterfall wall!), the service is severely lacking. The sommelier carried bottles under her arm rather than on a cart or tray (and her uniform was terribly dirty!) It took an extremely long time between the order being taken and actually being served. The presentation of the food was quite aesthetically pleasing...although the portions are fairly small. Can't complain about the desser

fun place to eat, great atmosphere but expensive for the area with so muany competing restaurants.
