Well worth the drive to West Seattle for the divine croissants, particularly the twice baked almond. The latte with the foam done in a heart shape was perfectly prepared and put a smile on my face to start the morning.

We no longer need to buy an expensive ticket to France to enjoy great baked goods! From baguettes to pastries to brioche, the respect for classic technique is evident and quality excellent. The almond croissants melt in your mouth with the pungent and nutty filling and the perfect balance of sweetness, chewiness and crunch. The flavor and texture of their breads is perfection, as well. This is a destination bakery well worth the trip!

Order, buy, eat and repeat. Bakery Nouveau has the best pastries and artisinal bread in Seattle. The brioche are light and not greasy and their variety of croissants (plain, chocolate and almond) are all buttery and flavorful. I quibble with the crunchiness of their croissants (I prefer something a bit softer) but that is an issue of preference and does not reflect on their quality. The apricot danish is also particularly tasty.
