It is hard to believe that this is a very old genuine French bakery chain. The majority of the bread is (unforgivably) boring. The French onion soup is unforgivably poor. How disappointing.
When Paul's first opened in Miami the service was horrible and it took them a while to get it together. Now, they are much more efficient and the food is still quite good. Best desserts are the creme brulee, tarts, chocolate almond crossaints and chocolate cake.
This authentic French cafe/bakery's quality depends on which location you go to. Their selection in pastries has greatly diminished since their inception. Best one is in South Beach
