Like eating on a rollercoaster = it goes up and down. Some good highs (never very high) and lots of lows. Pretty room, pretty guests, pretty help and pretty clueless management. The manager asked me how we liked our meal and itold him we didn't love the beet and he told me he was glad we liked it. Spicy chicken and soft shell crabs were hjighlights. Beef awful. Mango pudding was excellent. No reason to try it again.

All style and no substance rather like the house red chili dish. Full of over-caffeinated models and assorted trendy hangers-on.

Nobu in China; Beautiful Gramercy Park people line up for narrow curtained space; Great take on strongly-flavored, fresh Chinese; Extremely expensive; Ladies with shopping bags meet investment bankers; Dark and spicy; Not as polished as the Nobus.

Sexy vibe all round - great place for getting a good snog on before heading to the Rose Bar next door.
