Mistake in your listing. Not vegan, but vegetable. They use butter and cheese. The most intriguing and unusual, visually exceptional, absolutely delicious food in Napa Valley.

Creating a fabulous gourmet meal without meat products is a real challenge, but this chef proves that it is possible. A collection of greens from the garden and pecorino cheese is set atop a cracker like bread and sprinkled with a savory dark powder made from beet juice. The gnocchini were the cutest little gnocchi tossed with a lightly cooked yolk and "bacon" made from brown sugar and mushrooms. Everything was well seasoned - not salty or bland.

This place could turn any carnivore into a vegetarian after one sitting. The flavors and textures make dinner a great experience. Sometimes the food is almost too beautiful to eat.

This truly is vegetarian food taken to a new level. We couldn't wait to try it afater reading the reviews and were not disappointed. It will not convert us to being vegetarian, however. One negative is a large, disconcerting sculpture of four nude women in the middle of the restaurant that is almost enough to put you off your food!

One of the top in the country, not just the Bay Area. You'd never guess from the menu that it's vegetarian (though the yoga studio upstairs is a bit of a giveaway).
